With easy, stress-free access — no steep or winding mountain roads — arriving is just as relaxing as staying. Windy Ridge comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, making it the perfect retreat for families, couples, or friends looking to enjoy both adventure and downtime in the mountains. One of the best features of Windy Ridge is its unbeatable setting. You'll feel tucked away from it all, yet you're just minutes from the area's most loved destinations.

The living room welcomes you with a bright, open-concept design that flows seamlessly into the dining area, creating a warm and inviting space where everyone can gather comfortably. Large windows surround the room, filling the space with natural light and offering peaceful views of the surrounding property. Whether it's morning sunshine streaming in or the soft glow of evening settling outside, the room feels airy, cheerful, and connected to nature.
At the heart of the space is a beautiful gas fireplace, adding rustic charm and cozy mountain ambiance — perfect for curling up on cool Smoky Mountain evenings. The comfortable couch and recliner invite you to kick back and relax, while the futon provides additional seating (and sleeping space when needed).
With its open layout, natural light, and welcoming furnishings, this living area is ideal for family movie nights, morning coffee chats, or simply unwinding after a day of adventure.

Kitchen/Dining Room:
The fully equipped kitchen is designed with convenience and comfort in mind, offering everything you need for an easy and enjoyable stay. It includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker — perfect for preparing anything from a hearty mountain breakfast to a relaxed family dinner. Whether you're cooking a full meal or simply grabbing a quick snack or evening beverage, you'll have all the essentials at your fingertips.
Just steps away, the open dining area features a table with seating for six, making it the perfect gathering spot for shared meals, family game nights, or late-night conversations. For a quieter start to your day, the kitchen also offers bar seating for two — an inviting place to sip your morning coffee while soaking in the peaceful mountain setting. To make your arrival even easier, we provide dish towels, starter dish soap, and starter dishwasher pods to get you settled in comfortably.

Location / Parking / Roads:
Enjoy a stress-free arrival at this welcoming mountain cabin, easily accessible by a smooth asphalt road and a well-maintained gravel driveway. The spacious, level parking area comfortably accommodates up to three vehicles and is motorcycle-friendly, making it convenient for every type of traveler.
Perfectly positioned in Wears Valley, you'll have quick access to both peaceful nature and popular attractions:
• 2 miles to the Metcalf Bottoms entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park — ideal for hiking, picnicking, tubing, and scenic drives
• 6 miles to Townsend, known as the “Peaceful Side of the Smokies,” offering scenic beauty and laid-back charm
• 9 miles to Pigeon Forge for dinner shows, shopping, and family-friendly attractions
• 10 miles to The Island in Pigeon Forge for entertainment, dining, and unique shops
• Approximately 30 minutes to Downtown Gatlinburg, where you can explore even more attractions along the way
For local conveniences, Elvira's Café — a favorite for delicious breakfast and lunch — is just 2 miles away, and Dollar General is only 3 miles from the cabin for any essentials you may need during your stay.

Upon your departure, if we find evidence that the cabin has fleas or there is damage or additional deep cleaning required due to your pet, you will be charged for all repairs and/or additional cleaning needed.
Please bring your own sheets/blankets to cover the areas your pet lays or sleeps on - or an additional fee will be charged for extra cleaning and time needed due to dog hair and odor left behind.

Our area has so many fun and entertaining attractions for all ages. Start with adventure when you ride coasters at Dollywood, win a game of putt-putt golf, race go-karts, splash at waterparks, mine for gems, visit museums, and oh-so-much more! For outdoor fun, you can explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can hike to waterfalls, horseback ride through valleys, picnic by a river, and fly fish! Once the thrills and adventure are over, visit the Tanger Outlets and local boutiques, where you can shop until you drop. Enjoy local cuisine, from southern family-style restaurants to chef-cooked meals at dinner time. After dinner, you can find a sweet shop on every corner to satisfy that sweet tooth before returning to the property.

Special Dates:
Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day.
Check-In:
4pm - There is NO check-in office; you go straight to the cabin. Once all your payments have been made, we will send you an email with the door code & we will resend it a week before your stay.
