The Space and Amenities:
- Built in 1918, this charming, century-old house features original character and is located in the historic "Little Italy" of The Hill.
- The master suite includes a super plush queen-size bed, Apple TV, Blu-ray player, large closet, and a dedicated workspace with a desk and supplies.
- A second bedroom is available via a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room, which can be made private with French doors and room-darkening shades.
- Relax in the sitting room adjacent to the master suite, where you can read or listen to records on the Victrola.
- Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, featuring a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and fridge. It includes all necessary cookware, dishware, spices, olive oil, and coffee/tea options (Keurig, French press, electric kettle).
- Entertainment options include a pool table in the basement billiard room, Apple TVs, games, coloring books, and an assortment of DVDs.
- Outdoor space includes a patio with a fire bowl for evening relaxation and a fenced-in backyard.
- High-speed internet is included, and chocolates are provided as a complimentary welcome gift.
- The house has a keyless lock system; a personal code will be provided for your stay.
The Neighborhood:
- Walk to numerous award-winning Italian restaurants, cafes, shops, and markets.
- The neighborhood is safe and pleasant for walking and sightseeing.
- Explore nearby landmarks like St. Ambrose Catholic Church, the new Piazza Imo, and Hall of Fame Place.
- Learn about the area's history by watching the documentary "America's Last Little Italy: The Hill," which is available via Amazon Prime or as a DVD at the house.
- Take a short walk to the Missouri Botanical Garden.
- Many popular destinations are just a 10-minute drive away, including Forest Park, the Zoo, the Science Center, the Art Museum, the Gateway Arch, Downtown, City Museum, Central West End, WashU, SLU, and Busch Stadium.
Guest Access and Policies:
- Guests will have access to the entire first floor, the billiard room, the outdoor patio, and the backyard.
- PARKING: a 2-car parking pad is available off-street. In late April to early June, street parking may be necessary due to mulberries from a tree in the backyard.
- Free street parking is also available in front of the house.
- Self-check-in is available anytime after 3:00 pm.
- PLS NOTE THAT: parties, unregistered guests, events, pets, and indoor smoking are not permitted. Visitors subject to approval.
- For those interested, fresh-baked bread may be available upon arrival; please ask in advance. This is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate.
- A lawn crew typically maintains the yard on Monday or Tuesday afternoons/evenings.
