  • Beautiful Big Sur location just 13 miles south of Carmel. This upscale home with incredible views is in a remote location, perfect for a retreat where you really want to get away from it all and commune with nature.

  • Up a steep, bluff-side road to a private drive where neighboring homes are nowhere to be seen but unobstructed ocean views are a highlight. (Please be sure to read the info below about the main house and guest house on the property.)

  • This perfect location gives you the best of both worlds: being near all the attractions of the Big Sur coastline while giving you easy access to Carmel and all of its conveniences. Enjoy a birds'-eye view of Garrapata State Park Trails, Rocky Creek Bridge, the Pacific Coast Highway and endless ocean views.

  • Step into the modern, simply stunning home where large windows take full advantage of the ocean, mountain and valley views. The 5,000 sf home is nestled into a hillside which is part of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range bordering the Pacific Ocean along the Big Sur Coastline. Located up a private road, this secluded retreat is a truly special place, full of serenity.

Living Spaces:

  • The main/lower level has wood floors and an open-concept with multiple zones and furniture that includes comfortable sofas as well as dining/game tables perfect for gathering and enjoying the amazing views.

  • Upstairs is a large family room area with modular seating options and a wifi-enabled projector and large screen with Apple TV. Guests should bring their own logins to view their personal streaming subscriptions.

  • The immaculate kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you need and has high end appliances and special finishes including a paneled refrigerator, large gas stove, two sinks, a coffee bar and a large central island with an impressive Amazonite counter-top in tones of the sea.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Main House:

  • Bedroom #1 is the upstairs primary suite with a king bed, a seating area and an en suite bathroom with a standing tiled shower and two sinks. There is also a half-bath on this level near the upstairs family room area.
  • Bedroom #2 is the downstairs primary suite with a king bed, seating area and an en suite bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, a separate shower and two sinks.
  • Bedroom #3 has a queen bed and is located near the full hall bathroom with a standing shower.
  • A half-bath is located upstairs near the large family room.

Optional Guest House:

  • The 530 sf studio guest suite has a king bed, a bathroom with a shower and a kitchenette with small fridge, stove/oven (no dishwasher). A large upper deck outside the studio has full ocean views.

  • The guest house is available with the main house or it can be rented separately by another guest or occupied by the Homeowner. If you want to make sure your booking includes the Guest House, please confirm with us if it is available for your dates.

  • The home has a dedicated laundry room.

  • Sorry, Red Tail Hawk is strictly a no pets property due to the Homeowners' severe allergies.

  • The one car garage with a Tesla EV (electric vehicle) charger is available for parking as well as the driveway. Guests should bring their power cord and adaptor.

  • Be aware that this remote location is up a steep, narrow, one-lane road that is paved, has hairpin turns and is unlit at night. There is a sheer drop off on one side. Even confident drivers must exercise a great deal of caution, especially in inclement weather or at night. The driveway itself is unpaved. Detailed driving instructions are provided and must be followed by guests staying at this home.

  • This vacation home is professionally managed by Property Manager. With over 15 years of property management experience, we strive to provide environments that nurture and inspire with all the comforts of home.
