Root-Stone Lodge

Root-Stone Lodge is located on beautiful Strawberry Creek, within walking distance to town. This spectacular lodge sits in the center of a one-acre property with many places to relax and enjoy the view, or to take a walk among the ponderosa pines.

• Stargaze in the outdoor jacuzzi tub, or simply listen to the babbling creek below.
• Root-Stone Lodge is a warm and welcoming mountain retreat that has been given much love and attention before opening it up to our guests. We hope that you will find it as charming and unique as we do.

The lodge features:

• 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
• The large living room with a signature stone fireplace and a Manzanita spiral staircase leading up to 3 bedrooms—Betelgeuse, Sirius, and Polaris. Each of these bedrooms has its own balcony with views.
• The living room also has a bar/kitchenette equipped with a 2 burner hot plate, air fryer, microwave, crock pot, refrigerator, coffee maker, and tea pot.
• A lovely pine craft picnic table with extra chairs, 2 leather sofas, a game table, and a large screen TV make this the perfect place to hang out!

In the winter, we shovel and de-ice the walkways and plow the parking area. However, we request that all guests bring chains or 4WD for their safety.

The charming town of Idyllwild is just a short walk along the creek, or a mile walk along the streets. Expect to experience what Idyllwild is all about in this beautiful and peaceful environment.
