Astra House - Fire Pit, BBQ & Dark Skies!

Astra House evolved from our cherished time spent in the high desert. The original 1950s homestead cabin has been transformed into a modern, light-filled dwelling. Designed with a natural palate that invites the beautiful desert landscape in, Astra House allows you to roam freely inside and out. With direct views of Goat Mountain to its north and endless desert views from the backyard, the house has been transformed to feel private while still open to the landscape within the 5-acre lot.

The Indoors:

• Astra House is a beautiful 2 bedroom (each with its own queen bed) + 1 bathroom home created with the intention to share our love of the desert with our world traveling guests.
• You will find an open layout and chef's kitchen equipped with stove top, oven, Corian countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large island.
• The living room has a TV with DVDs for cozy movie nights and a record player to sit back and relax with your friends and family.
• The large light-filled bathroom comes equipped with a large walk-in shower and oversized rainfall showerhead and water-efficient toilet.
• Please note that the wifi can be a little spotty here at times due to its remote location.

The Outdoors:

• We have all of your outdoor amenities covered! Hot tub, outdoor shower, hammocks, swinging chairs, and views from every angle.
• Enjoy a BBQ under an ambient lit canopy or stargazing by a propane fire pit, we look forward to hosting your next relaxing desert stay and helping to create a lifetime of fun desert memories.
• You are welcome to head out the front door and start a morning hike right to the top of famous Goat Mountain!
• We have also recently added an EV charger for guests with electric vehicles.

Other Things to Note:

• Professionally managed by Property Manager
• There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation.
• We do not charge a security deposit. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!
• Desert wifi can be spotty. People needing full-time high-speed might not find those needs met here.
• Please make sure to follow the directions to avoid getting stuck in any sand pits.
• The road to the house is a dirt road. An SUV won't be needed as they are maintained dirt roads but they can be a little bumpy.
• Pets of all kinds are NOT allowed.
• A/C & Heater: Astra House is cooled and heated by a central HVAC system to keep you comfortable all year long.
• Due to the location and a current fire ban, there is a strict no open flames fire policy. The propane fire pit located outside is allowed.
• Guests are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in the rental agreement unless permission is requested and received.
• Identity Verification: Guests will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger to verify their identity and submit a picture of a government-issued ID and a selfie. This process is mandatory to complete the booking and is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards.
