Stargazers' Abbey - In Joshua Tree!

Stargazer's Abbey is located just under 6 miles from the National Park's west entrance (a 10 min drive) & about 2.5 miles from the Visitor Center, restaurants & shops (a 5 min drive). A cozy, quaint home w/ beautiful night sky's! We hope to host you at Stargazer's Abbey soon!

• THE SPACE

  • Stargazer's Abbey has three bedrooms (1 queen bed in each room)
  • One and a half bathrooms, both newly remodeled and modern.
  • The property is located a quick 5 minute drive to the downtown shops and restaurants and a short 10 minute drive to the National Park entrance.
  • The layout works perfectly for a small group of friends, families or for couples who need to unplug and reset.
  • The house sits on a 1/2 acre lot with sweeping views of the Joshua Tree valley and the southern mountains.

• THE OUTDOORS

  • A propane BBQ grill is provided for your use during your stay to help maximize the indoor/outdoor lifestyle.

• RENTAL AGREEMENT

  • There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation

• DEPOSIT

  • We do not charge a security deposit.
  • We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds.
  • You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!

• ACCESS

  • Guests will have access to the entire house.
  • The only restricted area is the garage which is currently being remodeled for future guest use.

• AC and HEAT

  • The house has central AC and heat to help keep you comfortable all year long.

• FIRE

  • Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no open flames fire policy.
  • BUT the propane fire pit located outside is allowed.
  • If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine.

• GUESTS

  • You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us.
  • That includes day guests and overnight guests.

• IDENTITY VERIFICATION

  • You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie.
  • This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft.
  • This process is mandatory to complete the booking.
  • The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR.
  • Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key.
  • On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text.
  • No keys are used.
  • By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above.
