The "Why Not" ski house is located in the heart of the beautiful Deer Valley area of Southern Vermont. It is a beautifully appointed, designer decorated five bedroom and four bathroom super-chic ski chalet. Come stay, enjoy the outdoors, then relax and create memories in the utmost comfort and style.

The owners are award-winning, magazine and television-featured interior designers who have personally seen to the impeccable and Aspen-chic design of every room in this house. This is an activity-driven wellness retreat or the perfect spot to unwind, read a book, and do nothing but enjoy the beauty of the house and its surroundings.

It is located in a private association where there are myriad activities to fill your coveted vacation days. The home is situated a stone's throw from the Valley Trail hiking and biking trails and the VAST snowmobile trails. If you are a cross-country skier or snow-shoe lover, step out of the front door and walk to cross-country trails on the Mt. Snow Golf Club. Kayakers, paddle boarders, and swimmers have plenty of breathtaking lakes to explore in the Dover and Wilmington area. And, of course, the pièce de résistance is the incomparable skiing and après-ski reveling offered at The Mount Snow ski mountain and neighboring Stratton and Okemo mountains.

Golfers have multiple options for challenging PGA quality mountain courses. "Why Not" is a wedge to the 16th green of Mt. Snow Golf Club. The Haystacks course is a few miles away. Close by is the Brattleboro Country Club, Stratton, Okemo, and the world-famous Crumpin' Fox in North Adams Mass, which is a short 24 miles away.

After a day enjoying Vermont's famed mountains and outdoors, come home to refresh and invigorate by using the home's infrared cedar sauna, steam shower, massage table, Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtub, and state-of-the-art 6-person outdoor hot tub. Reserve in advance a local masseuse to come provide in-house services. The house is equipped with a Sonos entertainment system, Apple TV-driven living room television, basement home theater, and a championship pool table which converts to a ping pong table. The living area can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people, likewise the dining table, with room for more if you are willing to get familiar.

Foodies love the multitude of great dining options on Route 100 in the Dover and Wilmington areas. Down the hill, you will find 5-star dining at the Sawmill Bar & Table (reservations required). A few miles away, reserve at the historic 5-star Two Tannery Road. There are many walk-up restaurants with excellent mountain cuisine. Favorites include Fairways Roof Deck at Mt Snow Golf Course, Dover Joes, Dover Forge Restaurant, Sticky Fingers Bakery, Deerfield Bar & Bottle, Maple Leaf Tavern, The Last Chair, The Valley View Saloon, and Historic 1846 Tavern for the best fresh oysters year-round! And many, many more.

If you know Vermont, high-speed internet is not a common feature (Think dial-up speeds or none in many areas). "Why Not" has state-of-the-art internet technology. The home is a beta tester for Elon Musk's incredibly fast Starlink satellite system, a new internet business that accesses an array of satellites orbiting in the sky above. This provides high-speed wifi throughout the home for the TVs, laptops, and Sonos sound systems.
