This property sits among 1500 acres ranging from an easy Interstate Highway I-25 access to the top of the Old Raton Pass Highway.

Just minutes from downtown Raton and Sugarite State Park with 3 lakes, camping, hiking, fishing and gorgeous views. Tour the foundations and trails of the old Sugarite mining town ruins. Sugarite borders Colorado and allows access to another lake and hiking as well.

Eighteen miles to Trinidad, 1 hour to Eagle's Nest, 1.5 hours to Taos and Red River. Two hours to Colorado Springs, 3 to Denver and Albuquerque. Excellent base-camp to explore the New Mexico and Colorado Rockies.

**Disclosure: Typically you will never see anyone else during your stay, but for clarity, this property is at the foothills of our other top-of-the-mountain cabin rentals, so it's a possibility that you may see other guests using the entrance roadway, as well as the possibility of maintenance vehicles needing to access the ranch for emergencies, etc.
