This 4-bed, 3-bath vacation rental can host up to 8 people and is perfectly situated for access to all the best adventure spots on the Mendocino Coast – or you can just as easily kick back and spend your vacation enjoying the property’s great amenities (including a fully-equipped kitchen) and beautiful yard.

When you arrive at this luxurious craftsman-meets-ranch home, you’ll notice how light and airy the house is, thanks to the high ceilings, skylights, and picture windows. Every bedroom has access to the deck through a sliding door, and one of the two en-suite bedrooms boasts a window seat perfect for curling up with a good book or taking in the view. The living room features comfortable couches, blu-rays, board games, and a smart TV. The kitchen offers everything you need for a family dinner or a friendly cooking competition, including a 6-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, ice maker, and coffee machine. The grill on the patio presents another dinner option for the BBQ-lovers among us – and the covered patio with an 8-top table is ideal for al fresco dining. The breakfast nook/dining area also has a table with seating for 8. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, and desks for anyone needing a workspace.

The house is in a clearing, with an idyllic garden and scenic yard surrounded by towering trees, so you’ll have lots of privacy without sacrificing the sunshine. At night, solar LED lighting in the garden ensures that you can still take in the view.

If you venture out to local attractions, the nearby Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens are world-renowned, featuring stunning seasonal flora and succulents and acres of trails out to the ocean. A short drive to the north, Fort Bragg boasts a vibrant downtown district, neighborhood restaurants, coastal trails, art galleries, the famous trestle bridge, Pudding Creek Beach, the Skunk Train, the Mackerricher boardwalk, and more. To the south, the quaint and historic village of Mendocino will be instantly recognizable to many film buffs. It is also home to an array of restaurants, cafes, artisan crafts, headlands trails, and Big River Beach. For unique hiking spots on the way to Mendocino, visit Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, the pygmy forest at Jug Handle State Park, and the waterfall trail at Russian Gulch State Park. Two other bedrooms have queen beds and have access to a bathroom with shower and bathtub. They also have hutches for storage, closets, and easy access to the deck and yard.

Directions:

FROM THE SOUTH

1. Take Highway 101 north until you find the exit at Cloverdale (Just past – north of Cloverdale actually, go left under the bridge, then south and make a right in about ½ mile at the highway 128 sign) and follow the signs for 128 West. Go West for 55.4 miles until the road turns into Highway One. (This road can be very windy in places)

2. Stay on Highway One headed north for an additional 10.4 miles. When you are getting close you will cross the Big River Bridge heading towards the town of Mendocino.

3. You will come to a stoplight while on highway 1 or what the locals call the Shoreline highway. Go straight through the light (When green) and continue on highway one for a total of 6.0 miles.

4. Take a right on Pearl drive and go .1 miles and Coastal Hideaway will be the large brown house with the white fence on the left - you have arrived -Welcome to Coastal Hideaway!

Once in the circle drive you are welcome to park as you wish – Maximum vehicle capacity 4 vehicles.

FROM THE NORTH

1. Take Highway One from the north to the town of Willits and follow the signs for Highway 20 West to Fort Bragg / Mendocino.

2. Follow highway 20 west for 33.1 miles until the road ends at Highway One which is a stoplight.

3. Go left at the stoplight which is highway 20 and highway one and start driving south1.9 miles.

4. Take a left on Pearl drive and go .1 miles and Coastal Hideaway will be the large brown house with the white fence on the left - you have arrived -Welcome to Coastal Hideaway!
