With a jacuzzi, game room, fully-equipped kitchen, firepit, home theater and more, this vacation rental is ideal for up to 8 to 10 people.

In the living room, little ones will enjoy the selection of children’s books and classic board games, while teens and adults will have fun choosing tunes on the sound system. Meanwhile, the delightful Game Room offers a variety of entertainment options for guests, whether kids, adults, or the young-at-heart. Relive your glory days with an authentic Pac-Man game or classic Atari arcade games. For our cinema buffs, the home theater features a comfortable and immersive experience (don’t forget the popcorn!). The theater offers binge-watchers the opportunity to stream their favorite shows to their hearts’ content.

Stop at Jug Handle (home to a secluded beach and the unique pygmy forest) or Russian Gulch for a variety of hiking options, explore the spectacular botanical gardens, or enjoy downtown Fort Bragg or Mendocino with their cute shops, delectable cuisine, and impressive art galleries.

If you prefer the beach, you’re in luck: white sand beaches dot the coast, with Big River Beach and Pudding Creek Beach being favorites of locals and visitors alike, while MacKerricher State Park boasts a beautiful black sand beach and tide pools near the famed Boardwalk. For a unique experience, visit Glass Beach, where the right tides reveal a glistening wonderland of sea glass, shells, and tide pools.

Of course, if you prefer quiet nights (and days) in, Coastwood will have you kicking back in lavish comfort. Cook or bake to your heart’s content in the fully-equipped kitchen, where you can also treat yourself to Afternoon Tea! The house comes with a tea set so that you and your guests can enjoy refreshments (and treats) in style. Whether you break bread in the dining room or around the firepit, you’ll create fantastic memories with your favorite people.

The 2.5 bathrooms mean you won’t have to draw straws for the shower or cut your soothing bath short – you can relax and take your time. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and an attached bathroom with shower and tub, as well as stunning views of the surrounding forest. That bedroom opens onto a secluded patio. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and California-inspired decor. Two additional bedrooms are perfect for younger guests, with bunk beds (each of which features a twin and a full mattress).

• FROM THE SOUTH

Take Highway 101 north until you find the exit at Cloverdale (Just past – north of Cloverdale actually, go left under the bridge, then south and make a right in about ½ mile at the highway 128 sign) and follow the signs for 128 West. Go West for 55.4 miles until the road turns into Highway One. (This road can be very windy in places)

Stay on Highway One headed north for an additional 10.4 miles. When you are getting close you will cross the Big River Bridge heading towards the town of Mendocino.

You will come to a stoplight while on highway 1 or what the locals call the Shoreline highway. Go straight through the light (When green) and continue on highway one for a total of 6.6 miles until you see Boice Lane on the right (Re-Find is a business on this corner)

Take a right on to Boice Lane and go 0.1 miles until you see Railroad Lane on the left. Take a left on Railroad Lane and drive all the way to the end.

You will see the Coast Wood right in front of you!

• FROM THE NORTH

Take Highway One from the north to the town of Willits and follow the signs for Highway 20 West to Fort Bragg / Mendocino.

Follow highway 20 west for 33.1 miles until the road ends at Highway One which is a stoplight.

Go left at the stoplight which is highway 20 and highway one and start driving south for 1.3 miles until you get to Boice Lane on the left (Re-Find is a business on this corner)

Take a left on to Boice Lane and go 0.1 miles until you see Railroad Lane on the left. Take a left on Railroad Lane and drive all the way to the end.

You will see the Coast Wood right in front of you!

This rental is located immediately south of Fort Bragg and is right in the middle and so close to some of our best beaches, parks, trails, great food, shopping and more.

Coastwood is all about getting away from it all, the unit has WiFi, cable television, games and more.
