The upstairs features a full bathroom with a vintage tub and shower. There are three bedrooms upstairs.
Each bedroom has storage for clothes, ceiling and/or portable fans, nightstands and light blocking shades or curtains.
The property is on .25 acres of land. Street parking is available. Stone steps with railing and walkway lead to the front door. The front yard slopes gently and has wonderful shaded areas. The back yard looks out over a field with woods in the distance, it's not unusual to see deer or turkeys meandering about. Bring firewood for the Solo stove and spend time warming up around the fire with some hot cocoa or star gazing at night.
The basement should only be accessed if a circuit breaker is needed.
There is a locked storage area in the mudroom and in the upstairs hallway.
The barn in the back of the house is off limits.
Hosts live nearby and are available as needed.
The house is in the bucolic hamlet of Bovina Center. Home to around 500 residents, Bovina is a refreshing, step back in time kind of place. People wave when they drive past you. You may see kids doing wheelies down the street in the summer. And the fresh country air brings people outside year round to bike, run and walk dogs. A short walk down the street brings you to library, playground and general store.
Delaware County NY is a four season vacation destination. In the summertime there are yard sales, farmers markets, fairs and more. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking and fishing. Fall is for leaf peeping. Drive down the country roads, pick apples and pumpkins and enjoy nearby town harvest festivals. Winter is packed full of activities. There are two ski centers nearby that offer tubing, skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing (as well as summer activities like hiking, biking and concerts). Restaurants often showcase locally made or grown food like cheese, bread, meat, fruit and vegetables. Shops abound, there's always something to see!

Winter weather can be mercurial. Check the weather report for this area and plan your travel accordingly. Snow plows do not operate on secondary roads between 8PM and 5AM. If you are unfamiliar with driving in the snow, particularly uphill, search online for tips. Sites like AAA have good information. The stairs are shoveled to the entrance. A shovel is provided, please keep the walkway maintained during your stay.
The house is in an area with no cell service. Turn on Wifi Calling from your cell phone settings to make and receive phone calls.

We do allow up to 2 dogs with prior approval and an additional pet fee. Dogs have special rules. Please no dogs on furniture or beds, clean and dry dogs in the house only, bring a pet towel from home to clean. Curb your dog on walks and on the yard.
Delaware County is a rural, mountainous area. October through April when snow and ice are likely, guests should have either winter tires or all season tires with adequate tread. AWD, FWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended. 2WD and RWD vehicles are generally not good vehicles for driving in snow or rain. Check the weather before arrival and plan your trip accordingly. If you are unfamiliar with driving in snow look for tips online at sources like AAA. The parking space is plowed, maintained and shoveled to the door. A shovel is provided for you so you can maintain a safe walkway during your stay.
