The Bread Slice Room offers a bright and comfortable stay on the ground floor of our 200-year-old inn, nestled in the wing that was once a 1930s barn. Lovingly remodeled in the 2010s, this space blends rustic charm with modern comfort, offering a peaceful retreat after a day exploring Vermont’s Green Mountains.

This room features a queen-sized poster bed, a twin roll-out bed for added flexibility, and an ADA-compliant ensuite bathroom with a roll-in shower. Large windows fill the room with natural light, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Just steps outside the room, guests have access to a shared lounge complete with a leather sofa, Roku-equipped TV, and a mini fridge for guest use. While the main entrance to the inn includes a few steps, guests booking both this room and the adjacent Oh Deer Room will have access to a private, step-free back entrance that opens directly to the yard—ideal for those who prefer or require easier access.

As with all our rooms, high-speed internet is available, and we encourage guests to use headphones when enjoying personal content to maintain a peaceful shared environment.

A hearty New England breakfast is served every morning, lovingly prepared by the innkeeper. To join us for breakfast, please reserve your spot by 7 p.m. the evening before.
