  • Located just outside of the bucolic hamlet of Bovina Center, The Heatherwood has just what you need for the perfect Catskills retreat. Spacious interior with country elegance give the right touch of luxury while the exterior of the home is filled with the peacefulness of nature. Set on 14+ acres of quiet and solitude with a reflecting pond, outdoor dining area, fire pit, a brand new wood burning SAUNA and the resplendent woods that define upstate NY. Near villages of Andes, Roxbury and Delhi!

  • Just minutes outside of the historic hamlet of Bovina Center, The Heatherwood sits at the end of a quintessential country road. Surrounded by acres of forest with no noise or light pollution to detract you from nature. Enjoy the comforting seclusion of the countryside with the convenience of being located in the heart of the Catskills with nearby villages offering shops, restaurants and activities. Two ski centers are located within 30 minutes of the home making it the perfect winter escape if you like to hit the slopes. Near numerous hiking trails, wedding venues and other popular area attractions.

  • Main Floor

    • The main floor of the house features a great room with a fantastic high end kitchen filled with top of the line appliances and features. The open living space includes a sitting room with TV, kitchen, dining area and living room with brand new 70" Samsung smart tv. Ample space for the entire group to gather for meals and fun. An elevated deck on the front of the house looks over the reflecting pond and woods. At the back of the house, just outside the foyer, a covered porch has a dining and BBQ area. The master bedroom is located just off the kitchen and provides a peaceful night sleep with it's spaciousness and comfort. Light blocking curtains let you slumber late in the morning if you like, or keep them open for an early morning treat. An en suite gives privacy and convenience.
  • Second Floor

    • Like a suite, the second floor has a door at the top of the stairs for added privacy. A bonus room with cushy carpeting, futon and TV can be used for yoga, meditation or a soft surface for the kids to watch a movie. Three bedrooms with a shared full bathroom give substantial space for groups traveling together.

    • Enjoy the outdoors all four seasons! Delight in a summer time brunch al fresco under the back porch, roast marshmallows at the fire pit on a chilly fall evening or catch frogs at the reflecting pond in the spring. Every time of the year brings something memorable, a true country experience.
  • Guests have full access to the house except the basement and cottage at the back of the property.

  • We are only an email or phone call away and are available as needed.

  • Please remember that you are staying in a house, not a hotel. If any problems arise we will do our best to take action as soon as possible but there is no one living on-site.

  • Delaware County NY is a four-season vacation destination. In the summertime there are yard sales, farmers markets, fairs and more. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking, and fishing. Fall is for leaf peeping. Drive down the country roads, pick apples and pumpkins and enjoy nearby town harvest festivals. Winter is packed full of activities. There are two ski centers nearby that offer tubing, skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing (as well as summer activities like hiking, biking, and concerts). Restaurants often showcase locally made or grown food like cheese, bread, meat fruit and vegetables. Shops abound, there's always something to see.

  • A vehicle is necessary. Uber or taxi service is limited or unavailable. A FWD or AWD vehicle is recommended October through April when snow is likely.

  • Check-In and Check-Out: Plan your travel on our listed 4PM arrival and 11AM departure times. Changes in times may be available for an additional fee if possible. Please give at least 24 hours notice for requests, last minute requests may not be possible as cleaning and service schedules are planned in advance.

  • The house is in an area with no cell service. Turn on Wifi Calling from your cell phone settings to make and receive phone calls. For a smooth arrival, make sure to write down arrival instructions before traveling so you have the address, door code, WiFi and contact information.

  • The cottage at the back of the property is not available. Do not walk on the deck or attempt to enter the cottage.

  • The home has a private well and septic. No sprinklers, kiddie pools or Slip N Slides, these can quickly drain a well leaving you with no water and can potentially burn up a water pump causing expensive damage.

  • Delaware County is a rural, mountainous area. October through April when snow and ice are likely, guests should have either winter tires or all season tires with adequate tread. AWD, FWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended. 2WD and RWD vehicles are generally not good vehicles for driving in snow or rain. Check the weather before arrival and plan your trip accordingly. If you are unfamiliar with driving in snow look for tips online at sources like AAA. The driveway is plowed, maintained and shoveled to the door. A shovel is provided for you so you can maintain a safe walkway during your stay.
