Woodsy A-Frame in Big Bear!
The Acute A-Frame Cabin is located in the forest of Big Bear. It is close enough to drive to Big Bear Lake and ski resorts, but far enough away to feel like a true mountain getaway. The house offers a perfect view of the sunrise from one side and the sunset from the other.
This recently modernized cabin features two sleeping areas, one upstairs and one downstairs, with Instagram-worthy decor and a spiral staircase. The living room has a large flat-screen smart TV for streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. There is also a wood-burning fireplace in the living room (firewood not provided). The kitchen is stocked with essentials like pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and glassware. The cabin has one full bathroom.
Outside, there is a private deck with an outdoor dining area and a charcoal BBQ grill (charcoal not provided). The deck is the perfect place to enjoy the fresh mountain air and soak up the warm mountain sun.
Please note that parking is available for only one vehicle. Plan accordingly.
Guests have full access to the entire house. The host likes to give guests their space but is always available through Airbnb messages.
The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, about 8 miles from Bear Mountain Ski Resort and the Big Bear Village area.

- Is there a fireplace in the cabin? Yes, the cabin has a wood-burning fireplace. Firewood is not provided.
- Do you provide sheets and blankets? Yes, linens are provided for each bed in the cabin. They are professionally laundered, and the beds are made up for you upon arrival. The bedding has a cabin-like feel.
- Is there a place to do laundry nearby? Yes, there are a few laundromats near the cabin. The closest options are "Wash and Wear" in the Interlaken Shopping Center and "Big Bear City Laundromat" by Community Market.
- How many towels should we bring? We provide one bath towel for each provided sleeping spot. For example, if there are beds for four people, we provide four bath towels, plus hand towels. You can wash and dry the towels in the laundry if needed, or bring extras if you prefer. Damaged linens will incur additional charges.
- Does the cabin have a full kitchen? Yes, the cabin has a full kitchen equipped with pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, flatware, and glasses. It also has a range & oven, microwave, and refrigerator. However, there is no automatic dishwasher. Please bring any additional supplies you may need.
- Is there parking at the cabins? The cabin has parking space for only one vehicle. Street parking is not allowed and may result in towing.
- Do you have any games at the cabins? The cabin does not come with games, but it is located near Big Bear Village, the golf course, the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, and other attractions. We are happy to provide recommendations.
- Do you have a barbecue grill? Yes, we have a charcoal grill. Charcoal is not provided.
- Should we clean the cabin ourselves? The cabin is professionally cleaned after every stay. The cleaning fee goes directly to the cleaners.
- What do we do with dishes and soiled linens? Please leave the linens, towels, etc. in the bathtub in the bathroom. Dishes, silverware, etc. need to be cleaned, dried, and put back in the cabinets. There is a $25 fee for any dishes that the cleaners have to wash and put away.
- Where should I dump my trash? Please take your trash to the black trash cans outside in front of the house. If any trash is found inside the house, a $20 fee per bag will be charged. Contact me if the outside trash can is full.
- When will I get my security deposit back? The security deposit is handled through Airbnb and is released 48 hours after check-out.
- How do we get keys to the cabin? Once you check in with us, you will receive a code or lockbox with a key to access the house. The key should be returned to the lockbox upon departure.
- When is check-in and check-out? Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. on the first night of your rental, and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. on the morning following your last night's rental. There is a $50/hour charge for check-outs after 10 am that are not pre-approved. It may be possible to check out at 1 PM for an additional charge.
- What if I need to contact someone about the cabin? Message us on Airbnb or give us a call. We strive to respond immediately to all Airbnb messages.
- Do I need snow tire chains to get to Big Bear? During the winter months, carrying chains is almost always required unless your car is a four-wheel drive. It is helpful to have them as storms can be unpredictable. The CHP may also check for chains and issue tickets if you don't have them. You can check chain requirements and road conditions at Caltrans.com.
Pets are allowed in the cabin.
